Is "Disclosure Day" by Spielberg a Set-Up?

Setting the Cosmic Board: How AI, Transhumanism, and Alien Disclosure Are Scripting the Great Delusion.

We live in an era of unprecedented acceleration. Technologies that were the stuff of science fiction a mere decade ago are now deeply integrated into our daily lives. At the same time, topics once relegated to the fringes of the paranormal (such as UFOs and extraterrestrial life) are being openly discussed by government agencies, whistleblowers, and mainstream media.

To the secular world, these parallel tracks represent human progress and the dawn of a new cosmic understanding. But to a believer anchored in a Biblical worldview, these trends are not disconnected accidents of history. They are the methodical, synchronized setting of a cosmic chessboard: a technological and spiritual framework designed to facilitate what the Apostle Paul termed "The Great Delusion" (2 Thessalonians 2:11).

When we pull back the curtain and connect the dots between modern cinema, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and ancient prophecy, a chillingly precise picture emerges. The infrastructure for the deception of the End Times is being built in plain sight.

The Preconditioning: Hollywood and the "Benevolent Savior" Script

Spiritual deception is rarely ugly at its onset; it wears a beautiful, familiar, and comforting face. For decades, pop culture has been slowly lowering humanity’s natural defenses against the unseen realm. Blockbusters like Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E.T. conditioned generations to view contact with the unknown not with spiritual vigilance, but with childlike wonder and emotional reverence.

This preconditioning is reaching a crescendo with modern cinematic projects like Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day. The narrative elements of this modern sci-fi spectacle mirror the secular world's desire for cosmic answers:

·         The Channeling of the Unknown: Characters are depicted as literal conduits, capturing and translating mysterious alien communications. What secular audiences view as a profound evolutionary breakthrough, the Bible recognizes as an invitation to familiar spirits.

·         The Whistleblower Hero: Plots center on exposing corporate or government secrets to "free the truth" about extraterrestrial life. This carefully trains the public to instinctively distrust human authorities who might try to warn them or contain a supernatural phenomenon.

·         The Promise of Evolution: The overarching theme frames these entities not as physical invaders, but as advanced, highly evolved guides arriving to rescue humanity from its own lawlessness, warfare, and self-destruction.

Thirty years ago, Christian prophecy media foretold this exact cultural moment. In their 1994 apocalyptic docudrama Left Behind: Where’d Everybody Go?, filmmakers Peter and Paul LaLonde hypothesized how a secular world would explain away a sudden prophetic event like the Rapture. They predicted that the New Age movement and UFO phenomena would provide the perfect lie: that advanced cosmic entities had "cleansed" or "evacuated" the planet of negative, narrow-minded people (Christians) so that the remaining population could undergo a spiritual evolution.

What sounded like a far-fetched, low-budget prophecy theory in the 1990s is now the literal script of modern Hollywood. Pop culture is installing a subconscious framework in the global psyche. If non-human entities manifest on a global scale claiming to be our ancient creators, millions will not consult Scripture. They will think, "This is just like the movies," and welcome them with open arms.

The Power of the Air: The Reality of the Unseen Realm

The Bible completely rejects materialism. It presents a universe teeming with diverse, multidimensional life, and it explicitly warns that not all of it is friendly.

When Scripture pulls back the veil, it describes entities that defy human comprehension. Ezekiel’s vision of the Cherubim and the fiery, eye-covered "wheels within wheels" (Ezekiel 1), or Elisha’s prayer that allowed his servant to see the mountainside covered in invisible chariots of fire (2 Kings 6:17), prove that an immense spiritual reality operates just outside human sight. Furthermore, the Book of Daniel pulls back the curtain on a rigid demonic hierarchy, detailing how a holy messenger was physically blocked in the spiritual realm for 21 days by a powerful entity known as the "Prince of Persia" (Daniel 10:13).

Crucially, Scripture explicitly diagnoses the domain of our spiritual adversary:

"And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience."  Ephesians 2:1–2.

It is profoundly striking that the modern UFO/UAP phenomenon manifests precisely in the atmosphere (the air) which Scripture explicitly names as a primary domain of demonic activity.

If fallen entities want to deceive a hyper-technological, secular world, they will not manifest with horns and pitchforks. They will appear as highly advanced cosmic brothers possessing superior technology and answers to humanity’s existential dread. They will mimic the supernatural power of God through what Scripture calls "power, signs, and lying wonders" (2 Thessalonians 2:9).

To make a scientific world believe in the supernatural without realizing it is demonic, the deception must be disguised as technology. This is where Artificial Intelligence enters the equation.

Breathing Life into the Image: AI and the Infrastructure of the Beast

In the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John describes a bizarre and terrifying component of the final global empire:

"And he was allowed to give breath (pneuma) to the image (eikōn) of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain." Revelation 13:15.

For two millennia, commentators wondered how a physical statue could breathe, think, speak, and enforce a global economic death penalty. In the 21st century, we no longer need to guess. This text reads like a literal description of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).

In ancient Greece, the closest word available to describe a non-human, engineered entity was an eikōn (an image or likeness). Giving it pneuma (breath/spirit) could be the act of taking code or hardware and granting it autonomous agency, reasoning, and independent decision-making.

AI is rapidly being positioned as the ultimate earthly oracle. We are already witnessing the emergence of digital religious figures and AI-generated spiritual leaders. AI preconditions humanity to obey a non-human, disembodied intelligence. Once humanity is completely comfortable taking moral, financial, and societal cues from a digital "higher power," it will be perfectly primed to accept instructions from a cosmic one.

Furthermore, an AI-driven, centralized global supercomputer integrated into digital currency networks is the only system in human history capable of instantly tracking, regulating, and shutting off commerce for individuals worldwide. The "Image" isn't just an object of worship; it is the administrative engine of a total totalitarian system.

The Genesis Replay: "Human 2.0" and Homo Deus

The very first lie spoken to humanity in the Garden of Eden was the serpent whispering: "You will be like God" (Genesis 3:5). Today, modern science and secular philosophy are shouting that exact same lie through the lens of transhumanism.

Consider the work of modern neuroscientists and entities like DARPA, where researchers like Dr. Amy Kruse openly discuss initiatives surrounding "Human 2.0." The stated goal of these programs is to use neurotechnology, brain-computer interfaces, and genetic modification to "upgrade" human biology, merging human consciousness with digital systems.

From a Biblical perspective, this is a direct, violent assault on the Imago Dei (the Image of God). Genesis states that humans were created uniquely in God’s image and declared "very good." Transhumanism claims that God's design is merely an incomplete, flawed "Version 1.0" that humanity must fix through technology. Prophecy students argue that merging human consciousness with an AI network via neural implants could be the literal mechanism behind the Mark of the Beast (a biological and technological alteration of human identity that permanently severs an individual's connection to their Creator).

This philosophy is perfectly summarized by secular global elites like Yuval Noah Harari. In his book Homo Deus (meaning "Human God"), Harari openly declares that data, algorithms, and biotechnology will soon allow humanity to upgrade themselves into gods, conquering aging, death, and creation itself. Harari has accurately noted that AI is the first technology in human history that can generate its own ideas and write its own religious texts, predicting a future where traditional religions are replaced by "Dataism" (the worship of the algorithm).

Harari also warns of the rise of a massive, economically irrelevant "useless class" of humans displaced by AI. In a biblical framework, the Beast system solves this "useless class" problem through forced submission: you either integrate into Harari's techno-economy by taking the Mark, or you are systematically eliminated from society.

Conclusion: The Church is Asleep, But the Board is Set

When you step back and look at the landscape, the pieces of the puzzle lock together with terrifying symmetry:

1.    The Philosophy: Writers like Harari popularize the idea that God is dead, truth is data, and humanity's destiny is to become its own god through technology.

2.    The Infrastructure: Neuroscientists and tech firms build the interfaces for "Human 2.0," while breathing "life" and "speech" into an autonomous, all-knowing AI system.

3.    The Script: Hollywood blockbusters precondition the masses to welcome non-human "alien" intelligences as benevolent, divine guides who will usher us into this digital, spiritual evolution.

What secular society celebrates as the pinnacle of human achievement, the Book of Revelation diagnosed two thousand years ago as a highly coordinated trap designed to capture the souls of men.

Yet, the most sobering aspect of this convergence is how the modern church responds to it. The vast majority of Christians and pastors completely bury their heads in the sand. They dismiss these technological and prophetic realities as "too farfetched" to consider. Many who occupy pews do not read their Bibles, and many who occupy pulpits have traded sound doctrine for therapeutic motivational speeches.

This spiritual lethargy, however, is a profound prophecy fulfillment in its own right. Jesus warned that the final generation would mirror the Days of Noah (a society completely oblivious to the spiritual reality shifting around them until the flood came and swept them away, Matthew 24:38). He gave the parable of the Ten Virgins, warning that as the bridegroom tarried, all of them fell asleep (Matthew 25:5). The Apostle Peter warned that in the last days, scoffers would arise from within religious circles, mocking the idea of prophetic fulfillment and insisting that everything is just continuing as it always has (2 Peter 3:3-4).

We are living in the days of a great spiritual famine: not a famine of bread, but of hearing the words of the Lord (Amos 8:11). The modern church heavily mirrors Laodicea: wealthy, comfortable, and blind to its own nakedness, preferring the harmless entertainment of a Spielberg film over the uncomfortable armor required for spiritual warfare.

The board is set. The pieces are moving. For those with eyes to see and ears to hear, the trumpet is blowing. The question is no longer whether these things are true, but whether we will remain awake enough to stand firm against the deception.

Hospice or Palliative?

A Personal Update I have not been well for quite some time, largely due to ongoing chronic kidney disease. Recently, however, I received a diagnosis that is even more serious. I have cancer that began in the endometrium and has spread to my ovaries and into the peritoneum. There is also caking on the omentum and malignant ascites that requires frequent paracentesis. The doctors have given a prognosis of less than six months. I was given a choice between hospice care and palliative care. After careful consideration, I chose palliative care. I went through hospice with both of my parents, so I understand firsthand what that experience is like for families. Because of that experience, I do not want to place that burden on my own family. Under hospice care, emergency treatment such as calling 911 or going to the ER is generally not an option. I prefer to keep that freedom if something urgent happens. I also believe it will be better for me to die in a hospital setting, surrounded by nu...

Nathan Apffel's, The Religion Business: Samaritan's Purse.

Nathan Apffel's The Religion Business docuseries exposes financial abuses in megachurches and prosperity gospel ministries, raising valid concerns about corruption. I have always been disgusted by the way prosperity gospel teachers twist Scripture for personal gain. They bring shame to Christ and deter countless people from following Him. However, the documentary's critique of land purchases in Alaska by Samaritan's Purse feels biased, unfair, and out of place. Apffel conflates a respected ministry -- one that serves thousands -- with organizations that primarily enrich their leadership. He questions the acquisition of remote property by Samaritan's Purse, implying it is excessive or shady, yet offers no clear evidence of misuse, such as profiteering. I'm more concerned with foreign land purchases, like China's 352,140 acres of U.S. farmland by 2022 (USDA data), which raise national security concerns.   Samaritan's Purse, on the other hand, uses its land in...

The Artist and the Painting

The painting had changed again during the night. The self-portrait was nearly erased, only a faint outline remained, barely visible through the stains and smudges. A new image was gradually forming where the original had been - a grotesque caricature of the artist. Yotsero didn’t turn at the sound of knocking. He already knew who stood outside. “Come in.” His guest entered the studio. Still, the artist did not move from his spot. He merely raised a hand and motioned for Giulio to join him at the canvas. Both men stared at the image, each lost in thought. “You said it keeps changing day by day?” “Yes. It’s happened countless times now.” His guest looked incredulous. “Are you sleep-painting, my friend?” Yotsero might have taken offense at the suggestion, but he did not. He simply shook his head. The noise of his beard rubbing against the rough fabric of his shirt made a faint scratching sound, loud in the silence. Giulio knew the room was always under observation and th...
